Karima Echihabi is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University in Morocco (UM6P). My research interests lie in data analytics, data series management, and machine learning. Her current focus is supporting scalable similarity search on massive collections of high-dimensional vectors. Prior to joining UM6P, she worked as a software engineer at Microsoft, Redmond and the IBM Toronto Lab. She earned a BSc. in Software Engineering from Al Akhawayn University, a MSc. in Computer Science from the University of Toronto and a PhD in Computer Science from Mohammed V University with joint supervision from the Université de Paris. She has also launched a couple of start-ups in Morocco and Canada
